AI Quick Search
Privacy Policy
AI Quick Search lets you send selected webpage text or a question you type to the AI services you choose. Single search opens one destination. Multi-search opens the same text in two or three separate tabs. It does not retrieve or combine their answers.
What the extension handles
When you invoke search, the extension processes that selected text or typed question and your assistant preferences. It opens HTTPS query links for Perplexity, ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Google AI Mode. With your optional site permission, it opens Gemini or DeepSeek and places your text into the site's editor or offers a copy fallback. Those two editors are not automatically submitted by the extension. A destination may process text as soon as it appears in its editor.
Prompts can contain personal or sensitive content. Send only content you wish to share with the chosen services. AI websites may require their own accounts, redirect you, process or retain your content, and load other services under their own privacy policies and terms. The extension's publisher does not control their practices.
Storage and retention
Assistant order, enabled assistants, multi-search choices and the last selected assistant are saved in Chrome sync storage, with schema/timestamp metadata. Chrome may synchronize these preferences through your Google account. A local copy is retained if sync fails. These preferences do not contain your question text and remain until you clear extension data or uninstall, subject to Chrome's sync behavior.
Pending delivery and recovery text, provider identifiers, tab/token identifiers and timing metadata may be held temporarily in Chrome's in-memory session storage. They are removed when delivery is confirmed, when a pending tab closes, or during opportunistic stale-entry cleanup on later delivery/recovery operations. There is no guaranteed wall-clock deletion schedule; session storage is cleared when the browser session ends or the extension is unloaded. Page-side prefill/copy state can remain until that page closes or reloads.
Query links may remain in your browser history and synced history, and in destination service logs/accounts. If you choose Copy prompt, the OS clipboard holds it until replaced or cleared. These records follow browser, OS and destination settings, not the extension's session cleanup.
Permissions and choices
The right-click menu processes only the text you explicitly send. Storage saves settings and temporary recovery state. Scripting is used for Gemini and DeepSeek editor delivery after optional per-site access is granted. You can disable assistants or revoke their optional access in Settings or Chrome's extension controls. The extension does not scan your general browsing history. Disabling a provider removes its optional site permission; it does not delete content already sent to that provider.
Publisher access and sharing
The reviewed extension has no developer-operated prompt server, analytics, advertising, sale of user data or additional extension account system. It hands content to the destinations you request for the core search feature. Settings can also be processed by Chrome sync.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use compliance
AI Quick Search's use and transfer of user data comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
The extension uses selected content, typed questions and preferences only to provide its disclosed single purpose: opening the user's text in the AI assistants they choose and maintaining the settings and recovery needed for that action. Transfers are limited to those necessary for that purpose, such as the requested destination services and Chrome preference sync. The publisher does not sell user data or use or transfer it for personalized advertising, data brokerage, creditworthiness or lending decisions.
The extension provides no publisher interface for reading prompts. Any publisher human access to user data must be limited to the exceptions permitted by the Limited Use policy, such as the user's explicit consent to read specific data, security investigations or compliance with applicable law. These commitments apply to raw data and any derived data; they do not claim control over independent destination services' own practices.
Deletion and contact
Clear browser/extension data or uninstall to remove extension preferences and session state, subject to Chrome's storage/sync rules. Manage provider conversations, browser history and the clipboard separately through those services and settings. For questions or requests, contact maximilianoamunategui@gmail.com.
